Bangalore has two theatre plays coming up named ‘Bogey Systems’ and ‘Rabdi’. Bogey Systems will be enacted at the Ranga Shankara, JP Nagar on 11th and 12th of June. It tells the story of a young mother who denies burying her dead child and wishes to send it to the sea. The setting is expected to be mind blowing and the story a heart touching one. Rabdi will be enacted at the K H Kala Soudha, Hanumanthanagar on 13th of June. Rabdi is a story about a mother who and her mentally challenged child. The play highlights human emotions and social issues that encompass our daily lives. The language of the play will be Kannada.
Plays and theatres happening in the capital city are ‘A Male Ant Has Straight Antennae’, ‘Lal Qile Ka Aakhri Mushaera’ and ‘Bagia Bachharam Ki’. A Male Ant Has Straight Antennae is a play, which is happening at the Kamani Auditorium on 13th of June. The performance looks at perception of masculinity through the eye of stereotypes, sports, relationships, sexuality and touch. Lal Qile Ka Aakhri Mushaera will be enacted on 14th June at the Shri Ram Centre For Arts & Culture, Connaught Place. The play is a recreation of poetic congregation during the reign of Mughal emperor and eminent poet Bahadur Shah ‘Zafar’. The play will compose of poems of the finest quality and will display rich dressing styles of the Mughal age. Bagia Bachharam Ki is a theatre play, which shows an ill farmer’s eternal love for his garden. The play will be held on 15th June and 16th June at the Shri Ram Centre For Arts & Culture, Connaught Place. The language of the play will be Hindi.
Mumbai has plays such as ‘The Vagina Monologues’ and ‘History of India – VIRitten’. The Vagina Monologues is an adult play happening at the Canvas Laugh Factory, Lower Parel on 15th and 16th of June. The play is mix of comedy and heart-melting drama. This is truly a beautiful play, which will lighten your mood and freshen up your mind and change the way you think and perceive the world.
